Scandinavian style in interior

One of the most popular Interior Design Styles in the world is Scandinavian design that emerged in the early 20th century and subsequently flourished in the 1950s throughout the five Nordic Countries: Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden and Iceland. The main characteristsic of this style is the perfect balance between beauty and functionality. Simplicity should be the dominant factor and natural light is a plus. Play with a combination of plain and neutral shades such as whites, greys, creams and beiges.

The golden rule: avoid clutter at all costs.

Given that we’ve been spending more time than usual at home lately, thanks to nearly two years of a global pandemic, feeling good about the items in our homes has become more important than ever.

Copenhagen-based Nina Bruun, a product designer and consultant for colours, trends and materials notes that, overall, COVID, climate change and digitalisation are the main factors in Scandinavian design trends for the coming year.
